Personal Work

All pictures are taken with the classroom Canon S5 IS camera.
I walked around the campus on a recent afternoon to see what there is to photograph. I realize that at first glance there doesn't seem to be much to take pictures of, but if you try to look at things in a new way, you can find worthy subjects.
This is how the ticket booth near the stadium really looked, and below it's saturated with green. Which do you like?

There are some unique architectural designs on campus. You just have to look up.
A simple tweak of the Hue, and you can have an alternate universe view of your world.
The Canon S5's macro lens is very good and allows high-quality close up pictures.

Experimenting with the filter called "Liquify" can really change the look of a photograph.
Building number two is my home away from home.

There are all sorts of interesting filters that will give instant unique looks to your work.

Who I Am

I teach photography and digital imaging at Chaparral High School as part of the Career Technical Education (CTE-ROP) department of the Riverside County Office of Education. Previously, I was a staff photographer for The Californian and the North County Times newspapers. I continue to photograph weddings on many weekends.
